Sports fans everywhere will remember the summer of 2007 as an intensely exciting baseball season, with the Boston Red Sox closing in on yet another World Series victory, having won its first Series title since 1918, just three years earlier. . . . Little did anyone know that there was another drama unfolding in the Schilling household that summer—one that stood in stark contrast to what would indeed be another great World Series victory for the Red Sox and their focused and fabulous pitcher, Curt Schilling. The Schilling's seven-year-old son had just been diagnosed with an autism spectrum disorder.
