Irene Van Riper, M.A. Ed.

Irene Van Riper works as a special education teacher in a self-contained middle school classroom serving boys who have been diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder. She provides instruction in all subjects: literacy, math, science, social studies, and social skills. Her undergraduate degree is in education, and her Master’s Degree is in reading education. Irene is currently a doctoral student in reading education, and is in the midst of writing her dissertation on comprehension strategies for less able students on the autism spectrum.
